Several years ago I lost a very good friend to cancer. He battled it for years but lost his battle at the age of forty-seven years old.
A few weeks prior to his passing, he shared a bit of wisdom I’ve never forgotten. He said, “Jay, over the past several months I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my life and not once have I ever thought about wishing I would have worked more.” He then paused and said, “Don’t ever forget that.”
I haven’t forgotten.
Life is short. Try your best to live in the moment because moments never repeat.
John 6:27, “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.”
