Live in the Moment

No matter how busy you are, or how busy you think you are, the work will always be there tomorrow, but friends and family might not be.

IMG_2531Several years ago I lost a very good friend to cancer.  He battled it for years but lost his battle at the age of forty-seven years old.

A few weeks prior to his passing, he shared a bit of wisdom I’ve never forgotten.  He said, “Jay, over the past several months I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my life and not once have I ever thought about wishing I would have worked more.”  He then paused and said, “Don’t ever forget that.”

I haven’t forgotten.

Life is short.  Try your best to live in the moment because moments never repeat.

John 6:27, “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.”
