Lessons Learned

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

— Confucius —

I was speaking hope into a roomful of people the other night and I shared with them some simple keys to effective living through lessons I’ve learned in my life.

Lesson Learned #1:  There is a spiritual solution to all of my problems.

Action Step:  I spend time with God first thing, every morning and seek His will and not mine.

Results:  I spend more time living in the solution than I do living in the problem.

Lesson Learned #2:  I have a thinking problem and when left unattended my brain will convince me to pole vault over mouse turds.  🙂

Action Step:  Talk hope and opportunity to myself (the committee in my head) instead of problems and despair.

Results:  I see abundance and opportunity instead of scarcity and problems.

Lesson Learned #3:  Every day I need to get up and do the things that take me one step closer to my goals or else I’m not growing and when I’m not growing I’m shrinking.

Action Step:  Every Sunday I map out a plan for each day of the upcoming week that keeps moving me forward.

Results:  Exponential growth of the body, mind and spirit.

Lesson Learned #4:  You cannot keep what you have unless you give it away. The best way to get over yourself is to get out of yourself.

Action Step:  Try, to the best of my ability, to help others see and live the first 3 steps above on a daily basis.

Results:  More people are equipped, ready, willing and able to act on Lesson 4 from above.

**Results from living these 4 Lessons a day at a time:  a better world.

It’s not rocket science.

Keep it simple-stupid (KISS).

Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
