Lent Day 32 – Peace in Uncertainty

Our flesh craves comfort and certainty--thus the discomfort and anxiety (fear) associated with uncertainty.

Question

With whom do you entrust your uncertainty and other fear-based emotions?

Facts

If you’re anxious about anything, you likely rely on an outside source to help you navigate your fear(s).

Faith eats fear for lunch every day of the week.

If you want to enjoy your daily lunch, team up with God.

2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Hebrews 11:16, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

Journal your thoughts:

What am I grateful for today?

In what way(s) will I bring light to the world today?

What will I deny myself to draw closer to God and gain more peace in my life today?

Prayer:

God, I offer myself to Thee—To build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always! Amen.
