Lent Mindset Day 32 – Faith in Your Future

Predicting the future is a poor substitute for trusting the One who holds it.

Reflection

Our minds love to run ahead—imagining outcomes, rehearsing disasters, or trying to control what hasn’t happened yet. But predicting the future is a trap. It creates anxiety, robs us of peace, and tempts us to play God.

Worry masquerades as preparation, but it rarely produces action—only fear.

In the scripture below, Jesus reminds us that today has enough weight already. The grace we need is for now, not for our imagined tomorrows.

God is already in your future. He’s not pacing the floor in panic—He’s steady, sovereign, and good. When we let go of predictions, we grab hold of His presence.

Live today fully. Trust Him with the rest.

The future doesn’t need your forecast, it needs your faith…

Thought for the Day: Surrendering my assumptions and fears about the future helps me live in the grace of now.

Matthew 6:34, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
