Reflection
Every morning, at the beginning of my time with the Lord, I ALWAYS ask Him two things: the knowledge of His will for me and the power to carry it out.
Left to my own understanding, I’ve made more than my share of mistakes. My track record of following my will isn’t great—but that’s exactly why I need His guidance.
Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds me: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Surrender isn’t always easy. Our natural instinct is to control, plan, and figure things out on our own.
True peace comes when we stop striving and start trusting—when we let go of our ways and lean into His.
When we let Him direct our steps, we walk straighter, lighter, and with greater purpose.
So today, I choose to release control, trust His direction, and try my best to walk boldly in the path He lays before me.
Thought for the day: God’s plan isn’t always clear in the moment, but He promises to lead us if we seek Him. Surrender isn’t about weakness but wisdom—choosing to trust the One who sees the whole picture.
