Reflection
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
Whenever I read Proverbs 4:23, I picture myself putting an impenetrable shield around my brain.
Our mind is the gateway to our heart, and what we allow in will shape our thoughts, words, and life.
Negative energy—fear, bitterness, comparison, shame—sneaks in subtly but spreads like wildfire. That’s why God calls us to guard our hearts (Proverbs 4:23) and renew our minds daily (Romans 12:2).
You don’t have to accept every thought that knocks on your door. Instead, measure it against God’s truth. Does it align with love, peace, and faith? If not, reject it.
Speak life.
Pray through the noise.
Fill your spirit with Scripture, worship, and God-honoring voices to protect your heart and mind from the enemy’s attacks.
Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (ESV)
Thought for the day: You were never called to live in darkness. You were made to carry light. Keep your mind clear, your spirit strong, and your heart protected.
