Over the next month I will be working with hundreds of business leaders who all have a desire to become better leaders. They want to grow in their leadership competency.
I love the opening quote by John Maxwell. Â Charisma will only take you so far before those around you figure out whether or not you know what you are doing.
Last week a business colleague of mine said to me; “Jay, as far as I am concerned there are two keys to being an excellent leader. Â First and most importantly, your team needs to believe you care about them as human beings and secondly your team needs to believe you know what the heck you are doing.
Whether we are leading a business, our family, or simply our own lives, we are only able to lead as far as we’ve led ourselves.
