Reflection
This past week I was in “Leadership Heaven.”
I facilitated a leadership training course and was surrounded by three dozen vibrant and energetic leaders.
I thoroughly enjoy conversing around the topic of leadership.
The opening quote was a part of my morning devotion from this past Friday…I wish I would have had it to share during my course, which took place a couple of days prior.
The leader of any organization’s primary responsibility is to create an environment/atmosphere where their people can excel.
Over the years, I’ve crossed paths with former teammates from HealthCare Pharmacy, and the majority of them tell me that they miss the way we did things at HealthCare Pharmacy.
In essence, they miss the culture/atmosphere that we worked hard to create.
Facts
If you aren’t in a leadership role, you may be thinking that this writing isn’t relevant for you.
Actually, it is relevant for all of us.
We all are tasked with leading our own lives.
In the opening quote, Chambers noted that we impact “atmospheres” wherever we spend our time.
We bring energy to the atmospheres we encounter each day.
It’s up to us whether or not we add positive energy or negative energy to our atmospheres.
My experience tells me that those who effectively lead their lives bring positive energy to almost every atmosphere they enter.
Questions
How well are you leading your life?
What type of energy do you bring to every situation?
Are the atmospheres you influence better or worse after you are gone?
Philippians 2:13, “For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”
