Faith Form

A belief in God helps provide a foundation to arbitrate our decisions. Without this foundation, we are condemned to live essentially formless lives.

— Armstrong Williams —

without this foundation (of faith) we are condemned to live essentially formless lives…Wow!

When I’m living a life of faith, my perspective turns the spotlight off of me and onto Him.  Through personal experience, I know my life has more form and meaning when my decisions are made through God’s perspective instead of my own.

The following is a short prayer from the book of Psalms that is worth reading daily to help you stay grounded:

Psalms 119:33-37

Teach me, O Lord, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end.

Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.

Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I will find delight.

Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.

Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.

Do you lead your life from a perspective of faith in God or faith in self?

Are your eyes on worthless things and selfish gain or are they on God and giving of yourself on His behalf?

Living a life of true faith is not easy…seek progress over perfection and your life will take form.
