Simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in action and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.
I ran across the above quote a couple of days ago and it seemed like a great formula to offset the feeling of unsettledness most of us are experiencing due to the COVID pandemic.
Last week during a coaching session with a client she mentioned how difficult it has become to plan and to look forward because things seem to change on a daily basis.
If ever there is a time to simplify, it is now.
If ever there is a time to live one day at a time, it is now.
If ever there is a time to simplify your plan, it is now.
Uncertainty leads to an unsettled spirit and a person or organization with an unsettled spirit struggles when trying to do too many things at once.
I learned this many years ago when I was in early recovery.
There was so much uncertainty about my future and my spirit was quite unsettled and then I was told about the acronym KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid or Keep It Super Simple…whichever you prefer and also how to stay in the moment by living a day at a time.
KISS, one day at a time is a great way to live simply with patience and compassion which in turn will help you in navigating through any storm in your life…I write from experience.
2 Corinthians 1:2, “For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you.”
