King and Micah 6:8

As my sufferings mounted, I soon realized that there were two ways to respond to my situation — either to react with bitterness or seek to transform the suffering into a creative force. I decided to follow the latter course.

— Martin Luther King Jr. —

We sure could use a leader like King these days.

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’

We must live together as brothers or perish together as fools.

Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy to a friend.

The old law of an eye for an eye leaves everybody blind.

Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.

~Martin Luther King Jr.

Micah 6:8, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
