Yesterday morning Lori asked me how I felt knowing January 26, 2019, was the last day I would not be in my sixties. I told her I didn’t feel anything.
Age has never been something I concern myself with.
The beauty of aging is you accumulate a lot of wisdom over the years. A better type of wisdom than the wisdom that came with my ‘know it all years,’ several decades ago.
With that being said, I thought I would share with my loyal readers a nugget of wisdom which I believe has allowed me to remain young as I age.
Itβs not rocket science. I simply try my best to love, laugh, learn, lead, and live a little bit better as each day passes.
I usually inventory the 5 L’s prior to going to sleep at night:
- Love–Did I contribute more to the world and others than I consumed?
- Laugh–Did my laughs outnumber my moments of discouragement?
- Learn–Did I learn something new that made me a better person?
- Lead-Did I stretch someone beyond their comfort zone? (One of the reasons for my EagleLaunch blog).
- Live-If I did all the above, it means I lived a pretty good day. Good days keep my stress levels low and my levels of sap and green high…see the Psalm below. π

Psalm 92:14, “They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green,”
Make a great day happen!
