Reflection
I was blessed growing up. On my dad’s side—both his mom’s and dad’s families—fun was a way of life.
That wasn’t always the case on my mom’s side. What’s interesting is that both came from humble beginnings, so circumstances weren’t the difference.
Yet my memories tell a clear story. I remember the laughter, the energy, the life from my dad’s family gatherings. From my mom’s side, far less comes to mind.
Why? Because joy leaves a mark.
Facts
Joy doesn’t stay contained; it spreads.
The way you show up shapes the atmosphere more than you realize.
A smile, a laugh, a light spirit can lift a room.
You don’t need a stage to make an impact; just the right posture and disposition.
Joy is simple. But simple doesn’t mean weak.
Those moments from sixty-plus years ago? Still crystal clear…even if my brain is full of cobwebs and hollow holes. 🙂
