Joy In The Journey

The destination may define the goal, but the journey is where life is actually lived.

Reflection

We often tell ourselves we’ll enjoy life once we arrive; when the goal is reached, the problem solved, the next season begins.

I used to buy into all that, but I’ve learned life isn’t lived at the destination; it’s lived along the way.

If we choose, God is with us–in the process–the growth–and the ordinary moments of every journey.

Taking Him along helps us realize that the destination is but the starting point for the next journey.

Joy isn’t something we earn at the finish line; it’s something we experience step by step if we so choose.

If we’re always waiting for “someday,” we risk missing today.

Where are you postponing experiencing joy in the journey instead of embracing it right now?

Psalm 118:24 – “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
