Inner Calm

The first of my own personal requirements is inner calm. This, I think, is essential. One of the secrets of using your time well is to gain a certain ability to maintain peace within yourself so that much can go on around you and you can stay calm inside.

I ran into a friend a couple of days ago whom I had not spoken to since the COVID-19 pandemic broke loose.

Wow!

He tired me out with all of his negativity…but I remained calm.

It made me realize how grateful I am for the time I spend with God each morning as well as the time I devote to exercise. Both of these activities create inner peace within me.

It also made me realize how much I’ve benefitted from not watching the news and unfollowing or unfriending negative/nasty people on social media.

Peace is an inside job.

Today, I know if I’m not at peace, it’s not because of the world it’s because of me.

How’s your inner peace been?

Are you using your time well in order to remain calm inside?

John 16:33, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
