Over the last couple of years, I have found myself spending significant time focusing on the finish line.
I’m not talking about the finish line to a triathlon.
I’m talking about the finish line of my earthly existence.
At sixty-two, I’m at least 75% there…if you know what I mean. 🙂
Rick Warren’s quote…
Regardless of how OK I am with my life and could drop dead tomorrow with a smile on my soul, I have work to do when it comes to growing as a Jesus follower.
Warren’s quote hit me in my weakness.
I’m definitely not where I want to be, but thank Jesus; I’m not where I used to be.
How’s your faith journey going?
Are you where you want to be?
Will Jesus be cheering you on and saying, “Well done good and faithful servant,” when you cross that finish line?
Philippians 3:12-14, “Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
