As a Christian I treat every morning as if it’s Easter. Â I die to myself and my selfish desires and rise with a willingness for Christ to live through me. Â This give me the best chance I have to not screw up my day.
As an American I also treat every morning as if it’s Memorial Day. Â I gratefully remind myself of why I’m allowed to practice my Christian habits freely without looking over my shoulder in fear of being punished.
On this day remember those who gave us and continue to give us the greatest gift of all…freedom.
