Happy Place

Life will always be demanding, but if you never step back to rest, you’ll have nothing left to give. Retreating isn’t quitting—it’s reloading. Find your place of peace, recharge, and return stronger.

Finding Your Happy Place: A Retreat for the Soul

View from our “Happy Place” bungalow.

We all need a place to recharge—a sanctuary where the world slows down and our souls find rest. One of my favorite “recharge” places is a Villa we visit on the Gulf side of Florida once a year.

With the rhythmic crash of ocean waves (which I’m absorbing as I write), the warmth of the sun on my skin, and the salty breeze whispering peace.

Your happy place might be a mountain trail, a cozy reading nook, or even a quiet café. Wherever it is, embrace it. Let it restore your energy, clear your mind, and remind you of life’s simple joys.

Prioritize these moments—they aren’t just a luxury but a necessity for a fulfilled balanced life.

2 Thessalonians 3:16, “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.”
