Random thoughts about progress and perfection…
A saying we share quite often in the recovery community is “Progress over perfection.”
Progress over perfection means valuing growth over flawlessness.
Perfection creates fear of failure, while progress builds momentum.
Small, consistent steps lead to big results.
Perfection stalls action, but progress fuels learning.
Success isn’t about getting everything right but moving forward, adjusting, and improving.
Focus on progress, and perfection will no longer hold you back.
2 Corinthians 12:9, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
