Growing In Truth

The circumstances and events we see as setbacks are oftentimes the very things that launch us into periods of intense spiritual growth.

Reflection

We’ve all lived through seasons where the setbacks don’t just pile up… they come in waves.

Seven years ago, that was us. I broke my hip in a cycling crash. My dad passed. Then Lori’s mom. Then her dad. All within twelve months…in the thick of COVID, with no caregiving support for Jordan. Every time we caught our breath, something else hit.

There were days it felt less like a season and more like a sentence.

In the middle of it, I found myself wrestling with a question I wasn’t sure I wanted to answer: Is this just a difficult chapter — or is this just life now?

That’s exactly where the enemy wants you. Worn down. Isolated. Quietly wondering if God is still in the room.

The devil is a liar.

God is the Truth.

In God’s world, setbacks are always setups for comebacks…I always write from experience.
