Gold Tee Living

When that last season in your life comes to a close, I hope you look back with joy that your life made a difference, and that being able to hit off the gold tees was a good thing. :)

A Reflection from the Depths of My Heart

As I look from our kitchen table out the glass sliding doors onto our deck, I am reminded that another summer has passed. Damp leaves from an evening rain the night before are stuck on the boards that a month ago were too hot to touch with the naked foot. Our outdoor furniture has been moved to storage, and soon, my wife’s beautiful gardens will rest until spring awakens next year.

As I grow closer to being able to legally hit from the gold tees in golf (age 65), all of the above catches my spirit more than before.

Aging makes us pay attention to things that the hurried nature of life once clouded us from observing…at least, it’s doing that for me.

Although I sometimes grow distraught in my struggle with inching closer to this life’s finish line, my purpose keeps me going by encouraging all of you to dream, be, and live in the light more.

When that last season in your life comes to a close, I hope you look back with joy that your life made a difference, and that being able to hit off the gold tees was a good thing. 🙂

Ecclesiastes 3:1, “For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.”
