Quote Reflection
There was no darker moment in my life than when I began to find myself after losing myself in my three year “lost weekend.”
I was in a deep depression with only a glimmer of hope of ever conquering a substance abuse addiction that had tried its hardest to kill me.
In that dark moment, I yelled the most powerful prayer ever known to mankind, “GOD HELP ME.”
That was almost thirty-seven years ago, and I’ve been praying a more extended version of that prayer every morning.
I surrender my darkness to His Light first thing every day and will not stop.
Focusing on His Light instead of mine and the world’s darkness is a winning proposition.
I always write from experience.
Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
John 8:12, “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.â€
