Reflection
We have a relatively high concentration of Old German Baptist families near our community.
They live a simple life without electricity, cars, and the internet.
I’m assuming their lack of access to the internet leads them to not know about all the craziness that is going on in our world.
They seem firm in their faith, focused on their family and work, and at peace with the world.
Thought
Maybe it’s OK to be comfortable with not knowing because it’s definitely OK to be strong in your faith, focused on family and work, and at peace with the world.
Question
Can you imagine how much better our world would be if the majority of us Christ-followers spent our time trying to know more about Him, His teachings, and His ways than we did about the ins and outs of the craziness of the world?
John 8:32, “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Isaiah 43:18-19, NIV- Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
