Fearless Conquerer

Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers, but to be fearless in facing them. Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but for the heart to conquer it.

Reflection

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase–“What happens in your life is not what matters; it’s how you respond to what happens in your life that matters.”

I have found my view of life changes, and my heart significantly grows stronger when I feed my body, mind, and soul with good things.

It is almost unbelievable how my perspective changes to the good when I’m firmly entrenched in my faith, exercising routinely, and putting good stuff in my body, mind, and, more importantly, my heart.

BTW…I had enough heart to conquer my triathlon yesterday…I actually finished first in my age group…BUT…there were only five of us over 60 who possessed the heart and stupidity to participate. 🙂

Psalm 31:24, Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.
