F E A R = Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise.

Fear is an emotion we all have to deal with and how we deal with it will determine the health of the mental component of our wheel of life.God at Center-Mental PPT

I have found that the depth of my faith walk is inversely proportionate to how much fear I live in.  The more faith I have, the less fear I have.

The devil uses fear in every way imaginable to prevent us from growing.  Whereas a daily walk with God allows us to overcome the devil and his fear games and in turn grow beyond our wildest imagination.

It takes work to grow in our faith walk, but it also takes work to remain paralyzed by fear.

A tool given to me many years ago that I still utilize to this day is The Serenity Prayer.  In its original version, it had no name as the American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr is credited with writing it somewhere in the 1930’s or 1940’s.  Alcoholics Anonymous as well as other twelve-step programs use the prayer to this day.

This prayer is probably my most powerful weapon I use to keep fear out of my life and I hope you see fit to pray it daily or more often as you see fit.

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;

Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful world

as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right

if I surrender to His Will;

That I may be reasonably happy in this life

and supremely happy with Him

Forever in the next.

Amen.
