The sun is peeking at me through the thinning trees.
Reflection
Each morning, I strategically sit at our dining room table to do my devotions and work on my writings. Strategic because my view is one where I get to observe the sunrise right before my very eyes.
A couple of days ago, I noticed how much more intense the sun’s rays were because of the annual leaf fall.
Life is that way too.
Although society tells us more is more, I’ve come to believe that less is more.
We add more commitments, possessions, information, noise, and activity, and wonder why there is no room to breathe or, worse, to see the light of day.
I’ve come to believe something increasingly important:
Simplicity creates space for significance.
Maybe preparing for what’s next isn’t about adding another thing.
Maybe it’s removing something.
Clear the calendar.
Clear the clutter.
Clear your head.
Clear some space for God.

What can I eliminate to make room for what truly matters?
