Reflection
When I sat with the opening quote, one thought surfaced: fear of rejection shapes more decisions than we realize. It feeds procrastination, and procrastination quietly freezes the very gifts God gave us to steward.
If I counted the times I assumed my words would be rejected, the total would far exceed my 5,220 posts. Yet in March 2008, I sensed God calling me to write—not for applause, but for obedience.
My EagleLaunch writings help me untangle my thoughts, fulfill my gift of exhortation, and help anchor my faith.
Fear of rejection keeps us silent when we should speak and passive when we should stand. It also causes us to freeze our personal assets…the unique gifts God has given us.
But Scripture reminds us that God’s acceptance outweighs human approval.
Rejection may sting, but it does not define.
When identity is rooted in Christ, fear loosens its grip and courage finds its footing.
I always write from experience.
Soul Search
Where am I hesitating because I’m afraid of being rejected?
What gift have I delayed sharing out of fear of disapproval?
Do I measure my worth by people’s response—or by God’s declaration over my life?
Romans 8:31, “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
