Reflection
Fear (the enemy) tells us love must be earned, and approval must be maintained.
Fear cons us into wondering if God’s love has limits, conditions, or expiration dates.
The cross answers that question decisively.
Christ did not wait for us to improve before He loved us, and Lent centers us in that truth.
God’s love is steadfast.
When we rest in being loved, fear loses its voice and obedience flows from gratitude, not anxiety.
Soul Search
Do I secretly believe I must earn God’s love through performance or obedience?
What would change in my daily walk if I truly believed God’s love has no limits or expiration date?
Romans 5:8, “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
