Reflection
When I teach, I tell stories…mostly about my own failures. Not because I enjoy reliving them, but because people connect more deeply with honesty than with perfection.
When the audience realizes you’re human, still learning, still growing, the message stops feeling theoretical and starts feeling possible.
Vulnerability feels risky because it invites connection without guarantees.
Fear tells us it’s safer to stay guarded than to be seen.
Lessons land harder when people are relatable. And nothing makes a person more relatable than admitting they’re far from flawless.
Strength impresses.
Weakness connects.
I always write from experience.
Soul Search
In what ways can God use my flaws, imperfections, and failures to help others?
2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
