Dust to Dust

We've all heard "dust to dust." The greatest lives leave their dust a little better off than the dust God used to create them.

— JMeyer —

I got word that a buddy of mine died last Friday.

We played hoops in and after college together.

He took me under his wing when I arrived at my first preseason practice in 1977.

He was intensely radical–which is probably why we jelled.

We had a kindred spirit.

We learned from each other.

Life is really short and there isn’t a darn thing we can do about it other than live the shortness to its fullest.

Ecclesiastes 3:20, “All are from the dust and to dust all return.”
