It’s been 86 days since I crashed my bike and my life came to a screeching halt. I’ve learned so much from this setback but nothing more than how short and fleeting life is.
If you are thinking about doing something–just do it!
I am somewhat of an exercise fanatic and my exercise has been extremely limited due to my hip fracture. Instead of sitting on the pity-pot and lamenting over my situation, I used the time I normally devote to exercise for completing the writing of my third book–Victory Over Opiates.
Victory Over Opiates is a book I’ve been thinking about writing for a long time and it’s finally complete. In essence, I’ve always felt very lucky to have escaped the throes of opiate addiction. My escape involved a lot of work and in Victory Over Opiates, I share my work with the world.
My goal for this book is to give addicts and loved ones of addicts a little bit of hope. Sometimes hope is all a person needs.
I’m donating all proceeds from Victory Over Opiates to Joshua Recovery Ministries. Joshua Recovery Ministries is a Christ-based recovery organization focused on getting addicts back on their feet and living productive lives.
Reread the opening quote. What is God calling you to do with your dust?
