Don’t Believe It – Day 10 – Broken Vessels are Useful

God doesn't call the equipped. He equips the called — and He specializes in broken vessels.

The Lie

“I am too broken to be used by God.”

REFLECTION

Brokenness feels disqualifying. We look at our wounds, our weaknesses, and our fractured places and assume God is waiting for someone more whole, more put-together, more qualified. But God has a long history of choosing broken people on purpose.

All you have to do is observe any type of 12-step meeting. Some of the most “broken” people I’ve ever encountered played a huge part in helping me get my life back together.

…and then this broken soul got to help others do the same.

God’s grace, love, strength, and perseverance shine the brightest through broken people.

I always write from experience.

SOUL SEARCH

What is your greatest weakness or brokenness? Ask God how He might use that very thing for His glory. Write down one way your struggle has already helped someone else.

But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ — 2 Corinthians 12:9
