“What we hope ever to do with ease, we must learn first to do with diligence.” ~Dr. Samuel Johnson
We live in a “quick fix” society and somewhere along the way people seem to have forgotten that the only way to become great at something is through diligent focus and practice.
The only way to it, is to go through it.
What is it you are trying to become great at? What would you like to do with ease?
Write it down and create a plan to get it done…it’s that simple.
Well it may not be that simple because after you create a plan there are things you will need to eliminate from your life as there are only so many hours in a day. Make a list of all the things you will need to stop doing in order to start doing, much of this will involve changing habits. Commit first to eliminating these wasteful habits.
Some other items to consider: What books are you reading? Whose minds are you picking? What type of people are you running with (in life and in the audio/visual world)? How much sleep are you getting? How many times a week are you exercising? Is the food you are eating creating a “die-it” or a “live-it?”
I’ve simply touched the tip of the iceberg as far as what it takes to create ease in anything…probably why most of the world goes after quick fixes.
