December Boom and Worry

Worry is like a rocking chair; it keeps you moving but doesn't get you anywhere.

Random Rambling Thought…

When I saw the opening quote, I was reminded of a phrase I often see coming from Christians when their life isn’t going so well, “I am under attack by the devil!”

Does the devil attack us by making bad things happen, or does the devil attack us by getting us to worry and grow anxious when bad things happen?

I believe life happens and with life comes good and bad and who we give credit to the good for and who we rely on to help us work through the bad makes all the difference.

Sometimes we have no choice when turbulent times come, but we do have a choice in how much we allow the devil to attack us during those times.

The devil loves to get us to fret and worry during the tough times, and God loves us to get close to Him through prayer during the tough times.

Who we spend our time with when life throws us some “bad things” is a choice.

If you pray why worry, if you worry why pray?

Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
