Last night marked the first of eight 3rd Thursday (3t) meetings at my barn. This idea has evolved over the past couple of months as I continue to try to focus my “re-tired” (simply running my life on a new set of tires) years on helping others become all they were built by God to be.
The first 8 sessions are all about developing personal leadership and learning how to “live strategically.”
The first decade of the 21st century woke many of us up as things changed drastically on 9/11/01 and even more drastically during the past four years of what has become the “great modern-day depression.”
Job security is forever gone. Over the past four years many people have not only lost their jobs but their retirements as well as their investments, 401-K’s homes, cars etc…
We live in a world where it is no longer; “get an education, get a job, work hard, and stay at your job forever and retire.”
Basically nothing is forever except change and uncertainty these days.
We can sit and complain and moan about it and play the victim card or we can get up and do something about it and play the victor role.
Living strategic is a great way to begin the “victor” process by determining where you are, where you want to go and how you will get there. Living strategically means creating your own life and trusting more in yourself and building your own personal “wealth” of talent, wisdom and work ethic instead of depending on others to build your life for you.
During our first “3t” session we had 12 people. There is room for about 12 more and if we grow beyond my barn I have a Plan B which will accommodate hundreds more.
We meet the third Thursday of every month at my barn across from my house. The session begins at 6:45pm and ends around 7:30pm. You will receive Strategic Living/Life Coaching documents as well as a copy of the “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” and the 7 Habits workbook.
