Shallow and sad is an entire lifetime viewed through the same set of glasses inherited from birth…
We are all given a set of glasses to view life through when we are born. For the most part it is a “family prescription” that evolves over the years based upon our family’s beliefs as well as the circle of friends we hang out with, the television we watch, the books we read and the music we listen to…and for some the churches we attend.
What always amazes me is the number of people I have helped over the years who’ve never thought to take off their current set of glasses they view the world through and put on another.
The greatest optometrist known to mankind is God. Spending daily time with God through prayer and scripture reading will not guarantee a cure for your ills, a ticket to live longer or to be physically stronger. It will simply change the way you view the world and everything in it…that my friends is a miracle…at least it was for me.
We don’t see things the way they are. We see things the way WE are. ~Talmud
