“To add value to others, one must first value others.” ~John Maxwell
All great organizations become great through the ongoing growth of their people and people have a better chance in growing if leadership views them as something of value and not just a means to an end.
I tried my best to view each and every person who worked with me as a human being first and a teammate second. When I did that I was able to add more value to them in not only my eyes but in their own eyes.
If you are a leader or aspiring to become a leader; how are you looking at others? Do you value them as well as their personal and professional dreams, goals and responsibilities? Or do you simply see how they will add value to your personal and professional dreams, goals and responsibilities. There is a huge difference between the two.
At the end of the day God is not going to give a crap about how much value you have or your company has. He will be most concerned at how you valued and added value to your fellow man.
