Daily focalPOINT – Equip vs. Enable

“I don’t pray for God to take my problems away, I pray only for God to give me the strength to go through them.”  ~Jose Lozano

If there is one thing I have learned about God over the years is He is not an enabler, he is an equipper.  He doesn’t do the work for us but instead equips us with the tools we need in order to live life effectively.

The key to becoming equipped is for us to be willing to seek and utilize his “equipment.”  Seeking comes through prayer, meditation and input from effective accountability partners and utilizing means living our lives in a righteous way (right acting-according to His Word).

If you are waiting for God to solve all your problems you will be waiting for an eternity.  As I heard Joyce Meyer say yesterday ; “The world is into technology, but God isn’t, you cannot download an app for freedom and breakthroughs; it takes work.”

God is always willing to equip us for the work..all we need to do is seek and utilize the equipment…easier said than done.

Prayer Request:  Hunter Heck, a member of my Church family was seriously injured in a tragic accident and needs all the prayer he can get.  Please pray for Hunter’s recovery and for strength for his family.  Please pass this request on to anyone you know who believes in the power of prayer.
