Daily focalPOINT – Prayer and Plan

“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”  ~Corrie Ten Boom

The devil’s favorite tool in order to stunt our growth is fear and fear often surfaces in the form of worry And if not given in prayer to God, worry turns to anxiety and/or depression and slowly life paralysis sets in and our strength is gone.

I have found there is no better plan of attack to conquer anxiety derived from the past and fear/worries of  tomorrow, then to pray and plan relentlessly for the future.

And if you aren’t good at either a great starting point is to simply pray some simple prayers like “God help me see my future, God help me plan for that future, God keep the past in the past unless it can play a positive role in my future, God bring someone into my life who will help me see my future.”

Planning begins by writing “something” down.  My wife makes fun of the the number of journals I have laying around and most of them involve planning.  A plan is simply the bridge between your vision (what  you want your life to “be”) and your mission (what you need to do in order to be).

Prayer and planning is not rocket science, it just takes a little effort as well as a deep desire to take your life back from the devil.

…I write from experience.
