“One’s destination is never a place, but rather a new way of looking at things.” ~Henry Miller
Another way to view this quote is to understand life is a journey comprised of multiple destinations..
The challenge is to make sure the various destinations lead to progress, as I’ve seen a fair share of people going off toward a new destination not realizing they were taking their life backwards or sideways and by the time they got back on track they had lost precious time in their lives.
An easy way to make sure your destinies are always progressing toward your ultimate destiny is to first know what is important in your life. Create a priority list. For me it is my faith, my health, my family, my fellow man and my profession. Then hand this “priority list” over to God on a daily basis prior to leaving the port on another daily voyage. And last, but not least, ask God to serve as the navigator of your destiny(ies) one day at a time.
