Although we should not give in anticipation of receiving, God’s natural laws are in place to bless the giver.
Many years ago when my wife and I began to recover from the destruction I had caused in our lives, we made a vow to give our first 10% of our fruits to the church and at least another 5% to those in need.
This 15% investment to God’s world has compounded exponentially in a positive way for us over the years and the blessings are not always monetary. They often come in the form of peace, joy, freedom, happiness, protection, strength, courage, wisdom…you know…true God-type blessings.
There is no limit on the type of return a “heavenly investment” will generate.
Even if your income is at the poverty level and you only make $1,000 a month, try giving $100 to your church and $50 to those worse off than you. Your generosity will be blessed.
