Daily focalPOINT – Finish Strong

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”  ~Corrie Ten Boom

This is the first day of the last month of 2012.  Wow!  It just seemed like yesterday when I challenged myself to share something “deep” with my loyal followers on a daily basis in 2012.  Prior to 2012 I usually wrote a blog or two each week.  This thought turned into action when I claimed it as my New Year’s resolution for 2012.

So here we are 335 days later and my goal is to finish strong…I do not set New Year’s resolutions unless I intend on accomplishing them.

One of the main reasons I begin every blog with a quote and end it with scripture is to force myself to deepen my understanding of life.  I try my best to totally understand the quote and scripture.  Hopefully you do the same.

In this year of researching thousands of quotes, I saved what I consider the best for last.  For each of the thirty-one days of December I will be using a Corrie Ten Boom quote.  If you don’t know who Corrie is, google her and you will find her to be one of the most amazing women to have walked the earth in the last century as she hid jews from the Nazi SS during World War II.  She also wrote the best seller “The Hiding Place.”

The quote above pretty much describes my source of guidance, energy and strength these days.  Involving God in your future plans is one way to at least make sure you are always heading in the right direction and with God that direction is forward no matter how hard the opposition tries to make us go backward.

I don’t know how your year has been but I am here to challenge you to finish it strong with me and a strong finish is pretty much guaranteed if you use God as your steering wheel instead of a spare tire.
