Joy Thief

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Reflection

When we compare ourselves to others we cast a haze over our own unique strengths and gifts.

I recently wrote about “getting off track. Comparing ourselves to others is a definite way of losing track of our track.

In all actuality, comparing ourselves to others is a way of telling God He didn’t do a good enough job creating us.

2 Corinthians 10:12, “Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.”
