This is day twenty-two on our Lenten journey of facing our fears and whipping the devil one day at a time.
Another fear we often experience is a fear of insignificance, or feelings that we aren’t “enough.”
Social media has created a warped sense of significance these days. Â Most of the world believes the more likes, views, followers, and shares we garner, the more significant we are. #WRONG!!!
True significance, from God’s point of view, comes down to how well we’ve utilized our talents in order to help those in need and/or make His world a better place to live.
I believe God gets a big smile on His face every time we do something for another person without telling anyone about it.
Try anonymously planting seeds for harvests you may never see. Â Acts like these are quite significant through God’s eyes.
One “like” from God is worth significantly more than ten million “likes” from the world. Â #TRUTH
James 1:22 (NIV), “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
Reflection:
What beliefs, thoughts and actions cause you to struggle with living out the true meaning of significance.?
Additional Scripture to read and reflect upon:Â 2 Corinthians 9:6, John 12:24, Hosea 10:12
