Crushing Fear – Day 40 – Bold Faith

Faith laughs at the shaking of a spear; unbelief trembles at the shaking of a leaf.

— Richard Cecil —

As I’ve said many times, when it comes to faith in God you are either in or out–there is no such thing as faith in-between.

Another fear I’ve witnessed with Jesus followers is the fear to be bold in faith. Being bold in faith means we live our lives with Him being first. Being bold in faith means we give Him all the glory when things are going right and turn to Him when things are going wrong.

When I figured this God thing out many years ago, I started leaning on Him all the time. Leaning on God doesn’t mean I expect my life to be perfect. God doesn’t always take away my challenges but He always gives me the strength to get through them.

I wrote a blog last year about the 2018 Super Bowl Champions, Philadelphia Eagles, and their head coach and star players professing their faith in God to millions of TV viewers while being interviewed after their big win over the New England Patriots. I love it when people aren’t afraid to profess their faith publicly.

The same thing happened a couple of months ago after the Clemson Tigers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in the NCAA football championship game. The head coach and star quarterback of Clemson both gave credit to God in their post-game interviews.

I love it when people are bold with their faith as the enemy has no defense when people lead with their faith.

Do you have faith in God?

If so, are the actions in your life reflective of your faith in God?

Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
