Reflection
The opening quote reminded me of a time when I observed a fellow business leader/friend, who professed to be a strong follower of Christ, lie, manipulate and hurt others in his quest to be successful.
He “Took Care of Business” in a not so Jesus way.
His behavior was disappointing to me because he was pretty talented and a natural leader, which meant he had a lot of followers and people who looked up to him and believed in him.
If you’ve committed to a 2023 BHAG, don’t accomplish it at the expense of others; accomplish it for the benefit of others…the way Jesus lived.
Matthew 6:24, “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money (or other people, places, and things…my words-JJM).”
