Balance

I believe that being successful means having a balance of success stories across the many areas of your life. You can't truly be considered successful in your business life if your home life is in shambles.

Reflection

I’ve heard opinions from both sides of the track about whether or not it is possible to have a work-life balance.

I, for one, believe it is possible, and the way it is possible is to have your priorities in order.

Each morning I review my key life priorities to remind me of how to live a balanced life.

My Priorities:

  1. My spiritual, mental, and physical health
  2. Lori
  3. Jordan
  4. Jason and Ashley, and Michelle and the grandchildren
  5. Family
  6. Creative space for writing
  7. Learning space for growing
  8. Professional responsibilities

If I do #1 effectively, the others usually fall into place.

Question

How balanced is your life?

If it is out of whack, try seeking Him first in all you do…He is the great “Balancer.”

Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.
