Balance

“The key to keeping your balance is knowing when you’ve lost it.”  ~Unknown

So true.

Ever since my crash and burn years of 1982-1987, I’ve tried my best to have balance in my life.  It hasn’t been easy, but for me it is a necessity.  Balance begins with determining what is important in your life and continues with developing the self-discipline of following through on promises made to yourself.

I watch so many around me who are out of balance for no other reason than they’ve allowed other people, places, and things determine what is important to them.  It also seems as though we live in a world of gluttonous desire of significance.  I write from personal experience.

Real significance is found in being true to God, ourselves and those we love the most.  I also write this from personal experience.

How balanced are you?

1 Peter 5:7, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (NLT)
