The opening quote reminded me of a poem I wrote three months ago when we were still in the early stages of the greatest distraction of our lifetime:
That Day All Hell Stood Still
Empty hearts
Empty minds
Empty streets
Empty world
But…
The Stillwater was still movin’
Orioles chirping
Squirrels working
Eagles soaring
All was full
Mother Nature, she knew what she was doing.
It seems as though not a whole lot has changed in the three months since I wrote the above thoughts but if you look closely you will see we now know how to protect ourselves and others from COVID-19 and we also have solid treatment regimens where a ventilator is now the last resort. More importantly, a coronavirus vaccine is being developed in record time and once it’s available we will be able to develop herd immunity and put this crazy time behind us.
Some may be asking, “Where has God been these past five months?”
He’s been working through His people who’ve developed prevention and treatment protocols and who are working feverishly to develop a vaccine.
God always knows what He’s doing.
1 Chronicles 29:11, “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.”
