Afraid to Forgive

Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

Reflection

I used to be horrible at forgiving others, but as I’ve grown closer to Jesus, I realize that forgiveness is paramount to truly living a Christ-centered life.

Fear whispers that forgiving means losing control or getting hurt again. But holding on to unforgiveness traps us in a cycle of bitterness, keeping our hearts hardened and our spirits weighed down. This is not only detrimental to our spiritual health but also to our mental and physical wellness.

Facts

When we refuse to forgive, we forfeit peace and give the enemy a foothold in our lives.

Forgiveness isn’t weakness—it’s freedom…I always write from experience.
